01 · Origin Story

From LifeGraph to a decision engine

It started as a decision journal: a way to replace open-ended journaling with something easier, more action-oriented, and simpler to reflect on. The original concept, LifeGraph, was more ambitious. Log every decision you face and watch the app build an interactive tree of your choices, branches and outcomes.

The pivot

After early conceptualization and feedback, a critical pivot happened. The app focus shifted to the real core problem: people not knowing what to choose as the right option when facing decisions.

The app became a decision-tracking and reflection tool - not just a journal, but a system to document, analyze, weigh, collaborate on, and learn from your choices over time. It was renamed Decision IO.

02 · The Problem

People decide constantly, but rarely track, reflect, or learn from it.

Traditional journaling is open-ended and hard to maintain. There's no structured way to:

01

Document what you faced, the options you had, and what you chose.

02

Weigh pros and cons in a visual, quantifiable way.

03

Come back later and rate how satisfied you are with the outcome.

04

See patterns like great calls in your career but poor ones in relationships.

05

Get AI guidance that actually understands your priorities.

The fix: a decision journal with data.

Help when you're stuck

You're never alone in a decision

Two ways to get unstuck: ask an AI that knows your goals, or bring in the people you trust.

Premium · Coach IO

Ask the AI

Rank three to five personal goals. When you're stuck, Coach IO weighs your decision, every option's pros and cons, and your ranked goals, then returns a recommended choice, the reasoning behind it, and why the alternatives fall short.

Shared decisions

Ask your people

Share a decision with up to five people. Everyone locks in their own choice independently, with no creator privilege, and it only confirms when all agree. Once confirmed, it splits into a private copy so everyone rates their own outcome.

Built to scale

Built in FlutterFlow on Firebase, with Gemini powering Coach IO and RevenueCat handling subscriptions. Choices, pros and cons live as subcollections, for clean querying and room to grow.

The design language

A presentation system pulled from the product itself: the app's near-black canvas and cornflower accent, recomposed for long-form reading. Dark sections carry the product, paper and neutral breaks pace the scroll, and mono labels nod to the “journal with data” idea.

Rhythm

Dark-dominant to match the app, broken by paper sections and grey statement boards so the eye resets. Roughly every third board flips tone.
